The Saga of the EV-1

A few years ago, GM introduced the EV-1 electric car and the Chevy S10 electric truck to comply with California’s energy laws. (which insisted upon a certain number of zero-emission vehicles) However, once GM found a way around the law, by donating electric golf-carts to local neighborhoods… they snatched the cars back from their owners, who offered thousands of dollars to keep their cars.

GM wanted Eletric Cars off the road, so they crushed them.
